Meet Our Doctor

            Dr. Marc Auerbach is from York, Pennsylvania.  He received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He received his specialty training and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  In addition to being a pediatric dentist, Dr. Auerbach is also a lawyer and completed his legal education at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona in 1992.

            Dr. Auerbach has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 1983, although he has taken several detours along the way, the most notable one was acquiring his legal education from 1990 until 1992.  Dr. Auerbach moved to Phoenix in 1983 and relocated to Tucson in 1996 where he has resided since, but for a short detour to Rhode Island from February 2006 until June 2007.  While in Rhode Island, Dr. Auerbach taught graduate pediatric dental residents all aspects of pediatric dentistry, focusing on the use of the operating room for the provision of dental services.

            Dr. Auerbach is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  He is a consultant to the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners as well as an on-site examiner for the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners for the use of oral conscious sedation by other dentists.  He was a staff member at St. Joseph’s Hospital for Children in Providence, Rhode Island where he worked with graduate pediatric dental residents in all aspects of their training.  Among other things, Dr. Auerbach is a former board member of John C. Lincoln Hospital Dental Clinic and a Past-President of the Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentists. He is currently a staff member at UCLA School of Dentistry with an appointment as a Lecturer, where he works with graduate pediatric dental students. 

            Dr. Auerbach has been married to his beautiful wife Marjorie, an orthopedic spine surgeon, since 1987.  They have three sons, Alex, Ezra and Ari.  In his time off he enjoys exercising, fishing and many outdoor activities, especially mountain climbing.
